Groups of 1-3 of current high school or middle school students in the bay area may partake in the challenge. They will be required to register here and be prepared to present their work at the challenge in front of judges to compete for prizes. Students will also have the opportunity to hear from guest speakers and network.
THE CHALLENGE

You may also choose to work with a specific disease that affects senior citizens. You can work individually or with a group of up to three students. You are free contact professionals and use any resources at your disposal to come up with a solution. However, a significant portion of the work needs to be done by the students. On the expo day, your group will be asked to present your ideas on a tri-fold poster (detailing your introduction/background, procedure, predicted conclusion, etc.) For guidelines see here. Be creative! IF you have any questions be sure to email [email protected] or ask any of you school’s WiSTEM officers.
